Kirsten Porter

I graduated from the University of Cape Town and completed my Community Service year at Lower Umfolozi War Memorial Regional Hospital in rural northern KwaZulu Natal.
I enjoy working with both paediatric and adult clients who present with a range of speech, language and swallowing disorders. This includes more specifically language and learning difficulties, articulation disorders, stuttering, dysphagia (swallowing problems), acquired neurological disorders (i.e. stroke, traumatic brain injury), voice disorders as well as special populations such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and cleft lip/palate.
I am an enthusiastic, goal-driven individual who puts 100% effort into all that I do, both in the work environment and personally.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as being outdoors and active!
